Our curator, Liz Hernández has a trained eye for identifying the technical and creative strengths of a work of art. Known for being approachable, hard-working, and fair, Liz is a creative insightful entrepreneur with keen business acumen.

 

Liz’s vision is to attract an international audience of art aficionados and grow ARTEZONA Gallery as a niche brand in the contemporary art market.

 

Having owned and operated contemporary art galleries in Tucson and Scottsdale, Liz has years of experience as an art curator, advisor to art buyers, and fierce advocate for the arts.

 

Born in Queens, New York, and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Liz currently lives in Tucson, Arizona where she has served on several boards including The Foundation for Creative Broadcasting, Girls Scouts of America, Tucson Pima Arts Council, and Arizona Theatre Company.

 

In Phoenix, she served as a Board member of the Scottsdale Gallery Association, Industry Partner of ASID, member of the Phoenix Art Museum’s Contemporary Forum, and President of the Latin American Art Alliance.

 

Liz is a lifelong cultural explorer who has traveled and learned about the art, architecture, and culture in various locations in the U.S., Europe, the Caribbean, and the Americas.
